Ghee butter is a pure extraction of oil from butter. It is a type of clarified butter, which is heated and reduced. During the process, the milk solids are filtered out, leaving the pure healthy fat in the form of ghee.

The product is lactose and dairy free. Because of this, it is suitable for anyone lactose intolerant or on the Paleo diet.

Use Ghee instead of butter, olive oil or coconut oil. Ghee has a higher smoke point than all of those products - e.g. 450-485 degrees for Ghee vs. 280 degrees for olive oil. This is important because when olive oil gets overheated, it turns into trans-fatty acids. The same applies for coconut oil which has a smoke point at 350 degrees.
